The real secret is to spend less than you earn.
My mother always say to spend 50% of every dollar and save the other half.

if you have a credit card, you should benefit from it.
Mom: Take full advantage of benefits. After all, only fools don't get benefits.
People need to learn to cook from raw ingredients.
Mom: Healthy home cooked food is the best.
It’s okay to buy used.
Mom: Used is okay, free is better!
A dollar spent will never produce dividends.
Mom: Save, save save!
Volunteer to help others.
Mom: Good karma will happen to those who help people.
I can buy whatever I want. Not need, but want. I just don’t want very much.
Mom: No point in wasting money on things you don't need.
...wealth is created by investing money, not by working longer and harder.
Mom: Learn to invest money wisely to let money grow money.

I also happen to read about Willing Workers On Organic Farms from this interview. I am thinking of working on a farm when daughter is older. Allah SWT willing I will continue with my research on farm work.
