Frigid Cold Temperature!
This morning the temperature dipped to 17 degree F, so I asked husband to check on the chickens.
Water in the water container was frozen solid, so husband used a hand shovel to break the ice, and pour hot water into the container. As soon as the ladies see fresh water, they came and drank from the container.
I added fresh feed into their food container yesterday, so I think they will have enough food for the next three days.
So far they seem pretty okay with the cold temperature. Now they are out sunbathing in the chicken run. Allah SWT willing the temperature will get above freezing point this weekend, then the ladies will be happier. We'll also need to buy more chicken feed soon as the existing amount will last another week or so only.
