Bottoms Up
When DS was born, he weighed 6lbs 8oz.
When he was discharged from the hospital, it went down by 5oz. Since then, husband has been giving the breast milk that I pumped out in addition to the infant formula milk to DS.
All praise be to Allah SWT, due to husband's strict schedule of feeding DS every two hours, he has gained weight. On Tuesday when husband brought DS to the pediatrician, he has gained 4oz. Even when DS is too sleepy to drink, husband would persist in keeping him awake and encouraging him to finish every last drop of milk in the bottle.
I always tell husband that after carrying his babes in my womb for nine months, he will have to work for his kids for the next nineteen years. I am thankful that he has held up to his end of the bargain so far.
