Recipe: Bandung (Ice Rosewater with Milk)


Bandung is my favorite drink whenever I eat curry dishes in Singapore. Sr. Nor has made this delicious drink for me on several occasions, and it really helps to cool me down after eating spicy Malay and Indian curry.

Ingredients:
  • 3 c sugar
  • 3 c water
  • rose water
  • evaporated milk (I used fresh milk)
  • ice cubes
Directions:
  1. Put the sugar and water in a pan and bring to boil to make simple syrup. Cool.
  2. Dilute 4 tbsp of rose water to syrup. Taste to make sure you like the concentration.
  3. Make sure it is slightly sweeter than your preference because of the addition of evaporated milk.
  4. Pour into 4 glasses with ice.
  5. Add 2 to 3 tbsp of evaporated milk to taste.
  6. Mix and enjoy!
