Bedford Farmers' Market
Yesterday daughter and I went to the nearby farmers' market to browse the local selection of veggies, fruits, unprocessed honey and nuts.
All praise be to Allah SWT we found great deals at the store.
A bag zucchini @ BFM: $0.99 (usual: $3.99)
A a bag of fresh okra @ BFM: $3.99 (usual: $6+)
What I like about this market is they sell produce that are in season. So they do not sell produce that need to be transported from other states, therefore cutting down on use of petroleum.
The farmers' market has many plants and flowers for sale too. I might pick up a few mature bell pepper plants or tomato plants to add to our patio garden.
Allah SWT willing I am going to schedule my weekly grocery shopping at the BFM to save more money!
