Patio Gardening Project - Yeah Baby!

It's been raining all day today. Our poor seedlings are freezing outside in the rain and that's nothing I can do about it. If tomorrow is as cold as today, I am going to have to put some plastic cover over the plants to give them some protection.

I found some old photos of our patio gardening project today. All praise be to Allah SWT, our patio gardening project has come a long way. Here's how it looked in 2007.

In 2008 we decided to dismantle the raised stand since it was difficult for us to weed the growth bags. I wanted to try growing tomatoes and peppers in containers, so I purchased these containers and cages. All praise be too Allah SWT we got good harvest from the tomato and bell pepper plants.

This year we are trying to grow more variety of vegetables (e.g. cucumber, beans, peas and tomatoes) and herbs (basil, rosemary, thyme, oregano) . Hopefully we'll have a good harvest in July.
