Postponed: Chinese Lesson for 2nd Graders

Today I am supposed to talk to 2nd graders about the history of Chinese characters. I also plan to teach the kids how to sing the Chinese version of 'Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star'. I am even prepared to bring these Chinese children's book, kindly donated by my dear sister, and the Chinese calligraphy set to show to the kids.

Alas! The heavy rain is just too daunting for me to drive on the highway with crazy Texan drivers who don't care much about slowing down during bad weather. So I called the school and asked Sr. Mona to pass the message to Sr. Edna, the 2nd grade teacher.

Since it will be raining from today till Friday, hopefully I can reschedule the lesson to next week, Allah SWT willing.
