Montessori Education Program
For the past week I have been reading up on the Montessori education method for young children on several web sites. After seeing an example of a learning wall, I set up this chart that includes topics such as 'Weekly Theme', 'Vocabulary Word', 'Alphabet Letter', 'Numbers' and 'Shape/Color'. I added the topic 'Arabic Alphabet' for husband to teach daughter.
In addition, I also set up daily routine schedule to teach daughter 'Practical Life Skills', Sensorial Activities', 'Math Activities', 'Cultural Activities' and 'Language Activities'. The key is to make these learning sessions fun and stop before the child is tired of it.
Here are the links to these web sites that I found useful.

The Educational Video Publishing company sells lots of DVDs that focus on different aspects of Montessori education. http://www.edvid.com/montessori.asp
(Note: Transcripts of the DVDs can be found on this web site.)
