Ruo Mi Fan 糯米饭
I've been wanting to cook Ruo Mi Fan, or 'Loh Mai Fan' in Cantonese, for daughter so that she begins to get used to eating Chinese dishes with different types of seasoning. When I was in Singapore, I used to order this dish and Chinese steamed buns from the coffee shop's Dim-Sum stall.
I found this recipe on a blog http://felicity-wishes.blogspot.com/2005/10/yummy-glutinous-rice.html and eliminated adding meat to make the dish suitable for vegetarians.
All praise be to Allah SWT daughter seems to enjoy having this for lunch. I have to stop myself after eating two bowls of this yummy dish. Mmmmm... simple joy of good and tasty food...
